I just got my 9th phone, and this time, it's the BLU View 5! It’s an entry-level phone that fits my budget while still packing some decent features.
**Design & Display**:
The BLU View 5 comes with a 6.56-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, which is good enough for daily use like watching videos or playing casual games. It’s not the highest resolution out there, but at 269 PPI, it’s sharp enough for normal tasks. Plus, the screen takes up about 83% of the phone's front, so it feels modern with that large display.
**Performance**:
Powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 processor, it's not a gaming beast, but it handles simple tasks like browsing, social media, and watching videos without too much lag. It has 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage**, with support for microSD cards up to 128GB—super handy for storing more apps and photos.
**Cameras**:
The rear camera setup includes a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP macro camera for close-up shots. You can expect decent photos in well-lit environments. For selfies, the front camera is 8 MP, which is perfect for social media.
**Battery**:
One of the highlights is the 4000 mAh battery, which is plenty to last a full day of regular use without needing to charge constantly.
**Downsides**:
It lacks some modern features like 5G and NFC, so contactless payments or super-fast network speeds aren’t possible, but for a budget phone, that’s not too surprising. It also runs on Android 14, so you get the latest software right out of the box.
This phone isn't trying to compete with flagship models, but if you’re looking for something affordable that covers all the basics, the BLU View 5 gets the job done.
