The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a refined version of the Z Fold series, launching in South Korea on October 25, 2024. It offers larger displays, improved performance, and a slimmer build compared to its predecessors.
The outer and inner displays have grown to 6.5 inches and 8 inches respectively, enhancing usability. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 16GB of RAM, the device ensures smooth multitasking and gaming. Samsung has also boosted its camera capabilities with a 200-megapixel main sensor, making it more comparable to flagship phones.
Weighing 236 grams with a thickness of 10.6 millimeters when folded, the device is lighter and more portable. However, it drops S Pen compatibility to maintain the slim profile. The phone will initially be available only in South Korea, priced around two thousand dollars, with no confirmed plans for a global release yet. Early buyers can also expect coupons for various Samsung accessories and gadgets.
This Special Edition shows Samsung’s focus on addressing feedback while staying competitive in the foldable market.
